Steps on how to connect Abebooks with Commercium

Follow the steps below to obtain your AbeBooks User ID and API Key, which are required to connect your store with Commercium.
Go to www.abebooks.com and log in using your account credentials.
1. Find Your User IDNavigate to: My Account → My Personal Information → Account Details → Marketplace Profile → Account Information → User ID



Navigate to:
My Account → My Personal Information → API Key
Or visit: https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/ApiKey
Click Regenerate API Key to generate your API key and copy it for use during the connection process.
Important: Once the connection is established in Commercium, do not regenerate your API key, as doing so will disconnect the integration


- If you already have a Commercium account, sign in using your login credentials.
- If you don't have an account yet, please contact our support team at help@mycommercium.com for assistance.
- Log in to your Commercium dashboard.
- Navigate to Integrations.
- Select Available Integrations.
- Connect your primary platform (e.g., Shopify).
- From the available integrations, select Connect AbeBooks.


Enter the following details:
- Channel Name – Enter a name for this connection.
- User ID – Enter your AbeBooks User ID.
- API Key – Enter your AbeBooks API Key.
- Click the Connect button.

Import Existing AbeBooks Listings
After establishing the connection, you must import your existing AbeBooks listings into Commercium.
Navigate to:
My Account → My Downloads → Request Listings Report (Listing ID, Price, Quantity)- Request the report.
- Wait for AbeBooks to generate the file.
- Download it from:

Upload the File to Commercium
Navigate to:
Commercium Dashboard → Products → AbeBooks Products → UploadUpload the downloaded listings report.
This step links your existing AbeBooks listings with Commercium.

1. Set the Unique Product Identifier :
Select the identifier that will be used to match products between your primary platform and AbeBooks.
Supported identifiers include:- SKU
- Barcode
- ISBN
- Other supported product identifiers
2. Enable Order Sync :
Orders placed on AbeBooks will automatically be imported into commercium and created into your primary platform.
Go to Settings and enable Order Sync.
Based on your primary platform, you can configure options such as:- Custom Order Number
- Order Notes
- Order Tags
- Other order preferences
3. Enable Shipment Sync :
Shipment updates, including tracking details, will be automatically synced from your primary platform to AbeBooks.
Inventory changes made in your primary platform will automatically update the corresponding listings on AbeBooks.
The specified quantity will be reserved and deducted from your available inventory before stock is sent to AbeBooks. This helps prevent overselling while maintaining accurate inventory levels.
5. Enable Price Sync :
Go to Settings and enable Price Sync.
Any price updates made in your primary platform will automatically be synced to the corresponding listings on AbeBooks.6. Enable Product Sync :
Before enabling Product Sync, you must configure the following:
- Listing Rule: A Listing Rule defines how product data from your primary platform will be mapped and sent to AbeBooks.
- Listing Plan: A Listing Plan determines which products from your primary platform will be listed on AbeBooks.

7. Product Update Sync: Any changes made to a product in your primary platform will automatically update the corresponding listing on AbeBooks. This includes all mapped product fields, such as the title, description, attributes and other supported fields.
Note: Only changes made after the attribute mapping has been configured will be synced. Once a field is mapped, any future updates to that field in your primary platform will be reflected on AbeBooks as configured.
