Connecting Shopify Store to Commercium

This article will walk you through the process of obtaining the necessary API Tokens and information from your Shopify store to successfully connect it with Commercium.
Connecting Shopify Store to Commercium will require 2 main pieces of information:
- Shopify Domain
- API Access Token
Please see the steps below to get the API Token details for the Store connection:
Step 1 - Log in to your Shopify Store account and go to "Settings"
Step 2 - In the Side Menu, Look for "Apps and Sales Channels"

Step 3 - Click on "Develop Apps" located in the top right corner

Step 4 - Click on "Create an App" button on the Develop Apps page that opens up a popup.
- Enter a App Name, preferrable "Commercium by ConstaCloud" so you can keep track of it later on.
- Select App Developer, In this field you can either select one of your existing Shopify user or you can invite us as a collaborator of your Shopify store (Recommended) by sending us an invite to this email [email protected].
- Click on Create App.

Step 5 - App is created, now we will have to add some permissions so that this App can access your Shopify's data. Click on "Configure admin API scope".

Step 6 - Start selecting the permission needed as mentioned below, you can use the filter(shown in screenshot below) by typing in the Scope name -
- Assigned fulfillment orders - Read and Write
- Customer - Read and Write
- Product feeds - Read and Write
- Product Listings - Read & write
- Products - Read & Write
- Fulfillment services - Read
- Inventory - Read and Write
- Orders - Read and Write
- Order editing - Read and Write
- Metaobject definitions - Read and Write
- Metaobject entries - Read and Write
- Merchant-managed fulfillment orders - Read and Write
- Shipping - Read
- Locations-Read
Once all of the above permissions are selected. Click on the "Save" button in the upper right corner.

Step 7 - Click on the "Install app" button in the Overview section or the upper right corner of screen. Once installed, you'll be redirected to the "API Credentials" tab where you have to click on "Reveal Token".


Save the Access Token for further use.
For the Store Name - You will find that in your Shopify Admin portal URL itself. Go to the Home page. You'll find the Store name at the last of the URL (as shown below in the screenshot)


a) Enter the Channel name (It can be any name you want to assign it for future reference)
b) Shopify domain, which is going to be the store name you extracted just one step before with a suffix ".myshopify.com" For example if you store name is MyGreatStore then the whole domain that you need to enter in the domain field should be MyGreatStore.myshopify.com
c) Enter the API Access Token that you have generated into Shopify API Token field & click connect.
