So there are 2 things that you need to take care of before automating the product listings between the channels
1. Modifying product data & price (If needed) before listing them to the new channel.
2. Listing your existing products into the right category inside new channel.
Taking care of both of the above points are very crucial because first, different channels has different requirements when it comes to product listing data. Second, it is very important to list right products into right categories of new channel in order to get maximum sales.

That also means that each channel that you add inside Commercium can have it's own unique Listing Rules & Plans.

1. Title Description Mapping Rule : Helps you to Modify product title & product description of your products before listing to the new channel.
2. Price Modifier Rule : Helps you to Modify product price before listing your products to the new channel.

1. Title Description Mapping Rule Explained in Details
So the Title Description Mapping Rule Creator can be found under Listing Rules tab & you can add a rule by clicking on Add new button as shown in the below screenshot.

Once you click on the add new you will get presented with options as shown in the below screenshot

Below are the detailed descriptions & the purpose of the fields of Title Description Mapping Section
a. Rule Name : Here you can enter any friendly name to remember the rule. For example : Birthday Greetings Flipkart Mappings
b. Title : The data you enter in this field decides how your product title is going to look like in the Channel where you want to list the product. You can add plain text, you can add short codes & you can also use AI to translate , rephrase the product title before creating it inside the new channel.

Now lets understand how it works with an example product titled "Birthday Greeting Card" that you already have inside one of your channel & now you want to list that product to a new channel named Flipkart using Commercium.
We will see a couple of cases below to understand Title generation in more details with the example product we just mentioned above
1st case : You just want to pass the product title to new channel exactly the same way it was in your existing channel. So in that case you just have to copy the Title Short code by clicking on it & paste it there into the title text box. Putting the [TITLE] short code in title field will ensure that when your product gets created in the new channel it will have the same title.
Similarly we have other Short codes like [SKU], [DESCRIPTION], [TAGS], [VARIATIONS] & more you can use any of them to modify your product title before listing it to the new channel.
2nd case : You want to add some text along with the short code. Lets assume before you list your product to new channel you want to add some text along with the existing title of your product.
In this example we have product title "Birthday Greeting Card" & lets say you want to list the same product on eBay but you want to add a text before the original title that says "eBay Best Seller" so the whole title should become "eBay Best Seller Birthday Greeting Card". You can do the same by adding the text to the title field followed by the [TITLE] short code as shown in the below screenshot.

Similarly you can use the other short codes along with plain text & you can either prefix or suffix those plain text to generate the title of your choice.
3rd case : You want to remove HTML present in your existing product title before listing it to the new channel. In this case you can simply do it by clicking on AI Powered Content Optimization & you will be presented with the option to remove html. You just need to enable it & our system will remove any html content present in the title before listing the product to your new channel.

4th Case : You want to translate your product title to another language before listing it on another platform. Our platform allows you to perform AI based language translation automatically before listing the products to new channel. You can simply do it by clicking on AI Powered Content Optimization & you will be presented with the option to Translate To Other Language, you will just have to enable it & select the language in which you want to translate. This feature comes very handy in case if you want to list your products to international marketplaces.

5th Case : You want to rephrase & change the title length before listing the product to another platform. This feature comes very handy when you are trying to list your products to some marketplace with strict character limits on title. This feature allows you to change your product title according to the character limit required by the marketplace you want to list your product in without changing the meaning & context of the title. We use latest GEN AI models to perform rephrasing that ensure high quality rephrasing of titles.
You can use this feature by activating the Rephrasing. Once you activate it, it will ask you for the character length you want your title to be in & once you enter the character length our platform will rephrase the title to fit that character limit.

Customization options for Description
We have same customization options for product description as well which pretty much works the same way as product title customization. Additionally we have text formatting option available as well for description because some channels or marketplaces allows text formatting in product description.

Note : Although some channel supports text formatting in product description some channels doesn't allows it. If the channel where you are looking to list your products doesn't support text formatting in product description your product creation will fail.
There is one more option which says Default if you switch this on this Mapping Rule for Title & Description will be applied to all of your products of your existing channel by default. You might not want to turn this on because you might want to have different rules & mapping for different types of products you sell.

Once you have done all mappings & customizations click on Save Changes & you are all set.
So now lets discuss about price modifier rule. This rule is pretty simple & straightforward. As you can notice from the name it helps you to modify your existing product prices before listing them to the new platform.
Price modifier rule can be found below Title Description Mapping Rule tab & you can create a new Price Modifier Rule by clicking Add New button.

Price modifier rule consists of 4 fields
a. Rule Name : Here you can add a name to the rule for future reference
b. Price Adjustment : Here you can select the option Increase or Decrease. This option basically decides if you want to increase or decrease the price before listing the product to new channel.
c. Adjustment Type : Here you can select if you want to increase or decrease the price by a Flat Amount or percentage.

Once you have done all mappings & customizations click on Save Changes & you are all set.

d. Map Attributes : Once you have select all sub categories you got presented with you need to click on Map Attributes button.

Now lets understand the purpose of Map Attributes button. When you click this button you will see a screen something like below

So when you try to list your products inside a certain category of a channel, the channel requires certain product data before you can list your item to that category. This feature helps you to pass that product data to the new channel from your existing channel product data so that you can successfully list your products into your new channel.
This feature consist of below fields
a. Attribute Name : The name of the data that needs to be passed to the new channel to create a listing.
b. Mapping Type : Mapping type field consists of 3 options Default, Native Field & Custom Field.
Default : You can select default if you want to pass a fixed value to that attribute name that you can decide on your own.
For example : If you are creating a category mapping rule for a product which has a attribute named Color & you are sure that you are only going to list Black color products to this category then you can set this Attribute Mapping option to Default & enter the value as Black in the Attribute Value field. So "Black" will be passed as value to this field for all products that will get listed via this rule.
Native Field : You can select Native Field option if you want to pass a value of a certain product's inbuilt/native attribute/field of your existing channel.
For example : If the channel you want to list your product in is asking for Barcode data in one of it's category attribute & lets suppose in your existing channel product attribute/field there is already a inbuilt field that contains the barcode data. In that case you can select Native field option & select the field which holds the barcode value in Attribute Value field.
Custom Field : You can select this option if you have added custom fields inside your existing channel & you want to pass custom field values to category attributes of your new channel. This comes handy when you use custom fields inside your E-commerce channel (Shopify/WooCommerce/Wix)
C. Attribute Value : In this field you need to select what value you need to pass to a certain Attribute. In case if you set Default in Mapping type then you will be able to enter your own data here. But in case if you select Native Field or Custom Field then values will auto populate & you will have to select the value you want to pass.

There is one more option which says Default if you switch this on this Mapping Rule will be applied to all of your products of your existing channel by default. You might not want to turn this on because you might want to have different rules & mapping for different types of products you sell.
Once you have done all mappings & customizations click on Save Changes & you are all set.
