Note : Our platform only sync those of your existing products to new channels for which you have created Listing Plans. It gives total control in your hand of what you want to list on new channels & what not.

Listing plans helps you to assign the rules that you created in Product Listing Rules section (If you have not already read the Listing Rules Guide please read it first before reading this) to different product categories or product types of your existing channel.

Lets understand this in more details with a small example. Lets imagine you sell office supplies on your Shopify website, so you sell printers, papers, toners etc. & you have arranged those products in different categories inside your website using product types & tags features of Shopify.

Now you want to sell those products on eBay as well so in that case what you will want to do is that you will want to list printers inside the printers category of eBay also before you list it inside printers category of eBay you also want to modify the Title & Description of the product a little bit & increase the price by lets say 10% to cope up with eBay's commission. Similarly you might want to do the same with your paper products & want to increase the price by lets say 8% on paper products before listing them on eBay & list them on paper category of eBay.

So what you might have observed in the above examples is that every existing product that you want to list inside of your new channel eBay needs different modifications in title, description, prices & needs to be listed in different categories of eBay.

This brings up the need of a system where you can assign different rules to different types of products you already have before listing them to any new channel.

So here comes our Listing Plan feature for your rescue

Listing plans helps you to assign the different rules that you created in Product Listing Rules section to different product categories or product types of your existing channel with the help of predefined plans.

You can access Listing plans by going to Products > Listing Rules & Plans > Listing Plan > Add New Plan > Click on Channel Tab

Remember each channel has it's own Listing Rules & Listing Plan so you need to create Rules & Plans only after clicking on the right channel tab for which you are looking to create the plans for.

Listing Plan screen has below fields

1. Name : Here you can enter any friendly name to remember the rule. For example : Printer Listing Plan

2. Price Modifier Rule : Here you need to select the price modifier rule that you want to assign to the products that falls under this plan.

3. Title Description Mapping Rule : Here you need to select the Title Description Mapping Rule that you want to assign to the products that falls under this plan.

4. Category Mapping Rule : Here you need to select the Category Mapping Rule that you want to assign to the products that falls under this plan.

5. Set Product Criteria : This field is the most important part of this section & should be handled carefully. See below screen shots & instructions for more details.

First you need to click on Add New Button here to start adding product criteria.  Additionally you can have more than one criteria defined in a single listing plan by clicking on the Add New button again.

To understand it more clearly we will go ahead with the example we discussed in the very start of this article. Where you sell office supplies on your Shopify website & you want to list your Shopify products to eBay inside different categories.

So lets say you have created a separate set of rules for your printer paper product range in Listing Rules section of Commercium & inside Shopify you have listed your printer paper product with product type parameter "Paper" & you have also added a tag named "Printer Paper" to distinguish it from other paper products you sell on Shopify.

Now if you want to assign the Listing Rules that you have created in Commercium for your Printer paper product before listing them on eBay you will have to do two things

1. Select the relevant rules you created for printer paper products in Listing Rules section of Commercium in Price Modifier Rule, Title Description Mapping Rule & Category Mapping Rule fields respectively.

2. Set Product Criteria.

In order to create criteria you will have to set below fields

As shown in the above screenshot we have selected the rules we want to apply for our printer paper products while listing them on eBay & in the product criteria we have set 2 conditions that will ensure that those selected rules will only apply to your products that has product type "Paper" AND they have a tag applied named "Printer Paper".

As you can see setting product criteria comes very handy when you want to assign different rules to different products. So below we have explained the same in deep details.

Detailed description of product criteria fields.

a. Filter By : Here you need to select the product field according to which you want your product to be filtered. In our current example of printer paper we will select the value to "Product Type".

b. Evaluator : Evaluator is the field that performs comparison in your criteria. There are 4 values in it.

Equals to : Use this evaluator when you expect the value of field you selected in Filter By to be exact match of what you have entered in filter value.

Not Equals to : Use this evaluator when you expect the value of field you selected in Filter By to not match with what you have entered in filter value.

Contain : Use this evaluator when you expect that at least one out of multiple values that you have entered in Filter Value to match with product field you have selected in Filter By field.

Does not contain : Use this evaluator when you expect that none out of multiple values that you have entered in Filter Value to match with product field you have selected in Filter By field.

c. Filter Value : In this field you need to enter the values that will be used for comparison against the Field you have selected in Filter By field.

d. Condition : As we mentioned above that there can be multiple criterias inside a single Listing plan. So this field help you use multiple criterias in combination. It has 2 options

And : If you use this condition to combine all different criterias you have inside a listing plan then in that case the all criterias must be satisfied in order for the listing plan to be effective.

Or :  If you use this condition to combine all different criterias you have inside a listing plan then in that case at least one criteria must be satisfied in order for the listing plan to be effective.
